This competition is open to all members of the Interior Educators national subject association and is for final year graduates of all undergraduate interiors and spatial programmes.
The 2022 apprenticeship will comprise a one year paid opportunity, working in four London-based practices over the calendar year. In order to achieve our charitable aims and to address a lack of diversity within the Interior Design industry, we welcome applications from black, Asian and minority ethnic students.
The award is for the most innovative, comprehensive and well communicated portfolio containing, in no more than 30 pages, a final degree studio project, and one other selected project. The portfolio should illustrate the range and depth of the entrant’s skills and their unique design approach.
The submission will present the two projects including any associated imagery, models, work, all within a 30-page PDF. This must be uploaded below, where it will be displayed and archived. Therefore, by entering the competition all students automatically agree to the use of their work in future UID/IE publicity and publications. All credits will be duly assigned.
To be considered for a placement in 2022, the application process is open now until the deadline on midnight on Saturday, 22nd January 2022. Short-listed applicants may be asked to attend interviews between 21st February and 4th March 2022. There are no limits to the number of graduates who may enter from each programme. Prospective applicants should speak to their Programme Leader in the first instance before submitting.
Successful applicants will be informed on 4th March; Placements commence on Monday, 4th April.
