About the course
At BA [Hons] Interior Design, Cardiff we focus on the remodelling of existing buildings for new use, conservation and up-cycling are our opportunity. We practice interior, Insertion and Architectural methods to provide students with a well balanced and well informed interior perspective. Our context ranges from the scale of the built environment to the interior object.
Throughout your studies, you will benefit from a balance between creativity and practicality, gaining a strong theoretical base for your creative concepts, while learning how to use technology to solve design problems. We focus on spatial concepts, through modelling, sketching and equip you with CAD proficiency to express your designs.
The student experience involves working with industry professionals. Industry-related projects lead to placement opportunities that give you the chance to work with professional designers and learn about project management with real-life clients and budgets. National design competitions and exposure to live projects greatly enhance your overall employability.
Our graduates are employed in architectural and interior design companies, theatre and exhibition design companies, Retail design and display, Interior branding and project management.
