BA (Hons) Spatial Design
About the course
Spatial designers are the designers of human experience – creating interiors, objects and interactions that shape our engagement with the world in which we live. They direct how we enter, navigate, interface with and inhabit our everyday environments, from our experience of intimate personal spaces to our engagement with public and commercial venues. The Spatial designer focuses on understanding human requirements, behaviour and response to inform their design choices, ensuring a coherent experience is delivered to the end user, client or consumer.
The Spatial Design course at LJMU offers a comprehensive curriculum that engages students in a broad range of cultural and social issues as part of the learning experience, as well as equipping graduates with strong commercial awareness in readiness for entry into the design business environment. This course is for those who wish to pursue a career within the field of spatial design activities, including interior, retail, exhibition, film and theatre.
