About the course
As one of the UK’s five original interior specialist degree courses we have an established reputation for creative vision at the forefront of interior design practice. Students’ individual creativity is nurtured in the art school tradition. We link interior study with art, architecture, design and wider cultural arts practice.
Studio based design projects focus upon the sculpting, remodelling and re-purposing of interior space and building fabric in response to contemporary issues, real buildings, sustainability, live briefs and external clients.
Graduates have a strong personal philosophy and a grounded design ideology and as ‘thinking designers’ they respond to constraints holistically and with ingenuity. They are sought after for their highly creative and individual approaches by renowned design consultancies and architectural practices.
