About the School

West Dean is a unique higher education institution, dedicated to arts, conservation and design. With the main campus located on 6500 acres in West Sussex, with the School of Arts and School of Conservation, and KLC School of Design located in London, the College provides specialist courses in craft, arts, design and conservation. KLC School of Design specialises in courses related to the design of space; including interior design, garden design and surface design. Courses are designed to support students to prepare for entry into the industry with mentoring, placements and career support integrated throughout the programmes. The School continues to support students after graduate with a weekly Jobs Newsletter as well as participation in events and online forums.

About the Course

BA (Hons) Interior Design is offered as a full-time (three year degree) as either onsite or online. The course has been designed to spark imagination, encourage debate and ignite curiosity. Students learn from industry professionals using the latest technology and graduate ready for a career in all sectors of spatial and interior design. This supportive course aims to nurture, develop and equip students with a broad range of interior design skills and professional practice. With many projects being ‘live’ (working for real clients, charities and organisations) students develop their skills in collaboration; alongside design, technical and communication. As the course progresses, they gain self-confidence and a sense of design as a tool for social change and ethical innovation.
