The course delivers a considered programme, providing students with the opportunity to demonstrate a dialogue between commercial, practical and professional requirements alongside academia and intellectual rigour. One of the unique characteristics of this course is that it offers students a genuinely collaborative engagement with professional practitioners enabling sharing of methods of practice alongside scholarship. Together with this, project briefs pair real clients with real sites and provide an insight into the design process as undertaken by a professional interior designer, whilst offering a currency to learning. The course culminates with the completion of a major commercial design project which contributes to a professionally orientated portfolio at the end of the course.Work PlacementThrough the extensive network of professional design consultancies, KLC facilitates, where possible, work placements on an ongoing basis.Employment and Career ProspectsKLC BA (Hons) Interior Design graduates will leave with well-grounded skills enabling a broad range of career opportunities and employment, nationally and internationally, within the fast evolving global world of professional interior design practice.
