BA (Hons) Interior Design

About the course

Interior Designers’ work is immersed in a complex and ever-changing culture and impacts on society, with the potential to cultivate a diversity of wellbeing. We focus upon objects and their relationships with space and how they inform experiences. Objects; Space; Experience.

We understand the importance of aesthetics and materiality, tradition and heritage of place and phenomenology. Design strategy emerges out of a critical and contemporary understanding of interior space, allowing us to remodel the present and inform the future.

Our students undertake disciplinary, trans-disciplinary and globally situated projects. They explore and employ technologies, critically engage with real world problems and concerns and develop their own design identity in order to compose, visualize and simulate unique and individual environments.
